The restaurant opened in 2006 and features Somali cuisine, including only Halal meats. The menu offers appetizers such as the digaag lyo cananaas, a dish made of marinated chicken in a pineapple sauce served on a bed of lettuce. A signature entree, the canjeer o loo sameeyey si habaysan is a type of pancake topped with tomatoes and basil sauce and stuffed with cheese and a choice of seafood, chicken or mixed vegetables. Meat, chicken and fish dishes are offered.







The Village Restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily. Reservations are not required. Casual attire is the norm. The nearest parking is along the street. Live music is featured regularly.

Its decor incorporates a red and gold color scheme along with fabrics and light fixtures imported from the Middle East and Morocco.
